This is a picture of my Mother at age 16, taken in 1939.
The little girls name was Carolyn Rollins. Mom used to babysit for her, for 35 cents a day. I guess back then that was a lot of money. I know when I was 16 I at least made 50 cents an hour.
Used Carol Burns "Days of old" kit, overlay was "vineolay"by kring.
Well Miss Carol, I told you I was going to Hawaii. I couldn't wait on you. We went there with my Mom & Dad & celebrated their 53rd Anniversary & our 32nd. We got to spend 16 fantastic days over there & stayed on 4 different islands. It was the last vacation the four of us got to spend together. What a lot of gorgeous sights we got to see & I have so many beautiful memories of the fun the four of us had.
Used my favorite designer, Carol's "Autumn Walk" kit.
This is a photo of my daughter when she was 3 yrs. old. taken in 1977.
She loved her little tennis dress & wanted to wear it all the time. When she went to play tennis, the racquet was bigger than her. Oh how I miss those times.
The kit was a freebie I got from the net & I don't remember who did it. Sorry. If anyone knows I will be glad to give that person credit.
Hello
My name is Gerri. I am a retired housewife(and yes I mean retired from housework) I have been married to the same man for 50 years (I deserve a medal)and have two grown children & two grand children. I am new to blogging but have a "blog fairy" named Carol who helps me a lot. Thank heavens. I also have another great buddy Judy who got me started with scrapbooking. Oh the things your friends can get you into.
